Force

生きていると　自分の力を超えたどうしようもないことに多々出会う。

だからこそ人はアートを必要とするのだと思う。

大きな力に対する恐れと祈りを美しいものとして体験するために。


We cannot avoid encountering the force which is over our control.

That's why we need art.

Art let us experience that force and a prayer in extremely beautiful way.

シンプルに生きたい。複雑なものはもういらない。

I want to live simply. I don't want complicated things anymore.

Sorrow

かなしい思いはしたくない。

個人的なかなしみをアートによって押し付けたくもない。

でも　人がどうしようもなく背負っているかなしみはアートの本質だと思う。


I don't want to feel sad.

I don't want to show my personal sorrow in my art.

However, sorrow that we are charged with as human being is one of the essense of art.
