Beauty has a thorn 2
世界は矛盾に満ちている。
近く親しいものが時に私たちを傷つけ、満足は更なる欲望をよび、きれいすぎる日は私たちを少し悲しくさせる。
私たちはそんな矛盾の中でもがきながら生きている。その矛盾は人生を複雑にし、時に輝かせ、私たちを魅了する。
この展示のテーマは、美しさと痛みの対立、そして共存である。
私たちは絶えず美しいものに惹かれている。しかし美はしばしば小さなとげのような痛みを伴ってくる。どんなに望んでも、それは永遠には続かない。たとえ近づき、触れたいと願っても、それは時に私たちをはねつけ傷つける。
すべてはうつろいやすく、もろく、多面的だという事実を私たちは避けることができない。
わたしは常にそういった世界の揺らぎに触れ、感じるためにものを作っており、それを通して美しさだけでなく痛みをも抱いた真実に届きたいと願っている。

Beauty has a thorn
The world is contradicting.
Intimate things hurt us easily. Satisfaction leads more desire. A lovely day brings a little sorrow.
We are struggling in such paradox. This paradox makes our lives complicating and glitter sometimes, therefore attracts us strongly.
In this exhibition, I focus on the conflict and coexistence of beauty and the sense of pain. We are always attracted by beautiful things, but beauty often accompanies a little sense of pain, like a thorn. However we wish, beauty does not last forever. Even if we wish to touch it, it sometimes rejects and hurts us.
We cannot avoid the fact that everything is mutable, fragile and multi-sided. I always create to touch and feel such fluctuation of the world, and reach the truth embracing not only beauty, but also pain.
